Do Electric Skateboards Have Remotes?.

Of course! The way we control our boards is with our Bluetooth-connected electric skateboard remotes. The remotes have two triggers, the one controlled by your index finger is the accelerator trigger and the one at the top of the remote (controlled by your thumb) is the brake trigger. We have a few options available for remote choice. There’s the R2 remote for the GT/GTX series, the R2 remote for the GTR/Stoke series and the new Phaze remote for the Hadean.As with every part of our design from boards to motors to wheels and bearings, Evolve has been constantly improving the tech behind our remotes and pushing to add new features that our remote controls can do.

How Do You Pair An Electric Skateboard Remote?

Pairing your electric skateboard remote with the skateboard itself is dead simple. Here are the steps:Step 1: Turn on your board. The on switch can vary depending on the model but you’ll likely find it on the underside, near the edge of the board.Step 2: Turn on the remote. The “on” button can be found near the bottom of the remote for the R2 or halfway up for the Phaze remote. Press and hold this for a moment and you’ll feel a little vibration, followed by the screen lighting up.Step 3: Let’s begin pairing! Press the top button on the remote (below the brake trigger) for about a second and the antenna sign will flash and then sync to your board.

Can You Replace An Electric Skateboard Remote?

Absolutely! It’s possible to replace your electric skateboard remote with another one of Evolve’s remotes. However, it’s important to double-check and make sure that the remote you’re looking at purchasing is compatible with the board that you have. If you’re not sure what board you have, follow this link to find out. Then on each of our remotes pages, it will say what series or boards that remote is compatible with.
