We will show you how to replace the battery of your electric longboard GTR. Battery replacement is essential to maintain the optimal performance of your board. Follow these steps for an easy and secure replacement.

Why Replace the Battery of your Electric Skateboard?

  • Autonomy: A new battery ensures maximum autonomy for your trips.
  • Performance: Maintains your skateboard's performance at an optimal level.
  • Safety: Avoid risks associated with a worn or defective battery.

Tools Necessary for Battery Replacement

  • Y-Tool (Provided with your skateboard)
  • Allen Key (Provided with your skateboard or a 1/8 Allen key)

Steps to Replace the Battery of the Electric Skateboard GTR Bamboo

1. Preparation

Gather the tools

Make sure you have your Y-Tool and Allen key

Turn off the skateboard

Before starting, make sure your skateboard is turned off for safety reasons.

2. Remove the screws from the deck

Unscrew the screws: Utilisez la clé Allen pour dévisser toutes les vis du deck.

Remove the last screw: Start by unscrewing the screw shown in the top photo. Keep the last screw, located in the center and at the front of the deck (shown in the bottom photo), for last. This keeps the battery in place until you are ready to remove it.

3. Remove the battery

Support the battery: Place your hand under the battery when removing the last screw to prevent it from falling.

Disconnect the main connector: Pull evenly on the main connector to unplug it. Avoid pulling on the connector wires to prevent damage.

4. Install the New Battery on the GTR Bamboo

Align the connectors: Ensure that the arrows and Evolve logos on the connectors are aligned (on the same side).

Connect the new battery: Plug in the new battery and check that the blue light turns on to confirm the correct connection.

5. Reassembly of the Battery on the Deck

Position the battery: Slide the connector wire of the new battery into the designated cavity.

Screw the first screw: Start by screwing in a screw (see on the photo) to hold the battery in place.

Align the holes: The second screw to tighten is the one at the front of the deck in the middle (It’s the last screw you unscrewed when you removed the old battery). Make sure the holes are aligned before screwing in the second screw.

Tighten the screws: Tighten the screws firmly but without forcing to avoid damaging the deck.

6. Final check

Function test: Turn on the skateboard to ensure everything is working correctly.

Safety: Make sure all screws are tightened and the battery is securely in place.

By following these steps, you can easily replace the battery of your electric longboard GTR Bamboo, ensuring optimal performance and maximum range.
