The evolution of the Appletree bestseller
The AppleSlice V4 takes the core principles that made the V3 a success and improves them across the board. Wieger Buurma, Appletree co-founder, tightened the outline on the intermediate sizes for increased speed and agility. A narrower tail releases water more cleanly. This gives you smoother flow and better control in your carving. The slightly advanced wide point creates more lift under your front foot. This makes early take-offs easier and provides naturally balanced glide.
Concave deck & optimized nose rocker
The big new feature of the V4 is the concave deck under the front foot. This locks you in and significantly improves your connection with the foil. You get clear, immediate feedback without sacrificing comfort. A slightly increased nose rocker lets the board get on foil faster and makes touchdowns softer and more predictable, even in chop. The extra volume at the nose adds stability when you need it most.
Full carbon construction
Like all Appletree foil boards, the AppleSlice V4 is built entirely from carbon fiber around an exclusive 50K closed cell foam core. This foam resists 50,000 kg/m² while remaining light and flexible. Its closed cell structure guarantees zero water absorption, even after an impact. The epoxy resin is vacuum injected using an in-house process for the best possible fiber/resin ratio. The FUTURES oneshot foil inserts are mounted in a high-density PET honeycomb panel sandwiched in carbon on both sides.
Choosing your size
The AppleSlice V4 range covers all rider profiles with 7 volumes. Small sizes (50-60L) are designed for advanced riders who want maximum responsiveness and direct contact. Medium sizes (70-80L) offer the best balance between performance and accessibility. Large sizes (90-115L) provide stability, easy take-off, and confidence for progressing riders or light wind sessions. The 70L is the new sweet spot between sinker and mid-size.
