Sheet updated September 2026
The Naish Hatch V2 is a completely redesigned parawing, built for exceptional stability, a wide wind range, and a shape that lasts. Naish has revamped the profile, reduced the sweep, and integrated Nitinol battens that hold their shape session after session. The new bar features a harness line that retracts into the handle, and the shortened bridle packs away faster. Naish designed it for both parawing beginners and advanced riders who demand excellent upwind performance and quick packing. It's available in five sizes, from 2.1 to 5.1 m².
KEY INFORMATION
NAISH HATCH V2 2026 - Stable and easy-to-pack parawing, from your first run to downwind
What we like
- Stable in the window: A more robust profile and reduced sweep keep the parawing precisely where you want it, delivering predictable power.
- Improved upwind performance: Naish reports better wind penetration and more direct upwind performance compared to the V1.
- Lasting shape: Nitinol battens always return to their original shape, so the parawing maintains its profile session after session.
- Retractable harness line: An elastic integrated into the handle means the line retracts into the bar when not in use, keeping everything tidy and snag-free.
- Full-length usable bar: The new ergonomic bar provides consistent power and depower response, no matter where you place your hands.
- One-step packing: Flexible A-lines and a shortened bridle mean the parawing packs quickly and relaunches without tangles.
- A parawing that stays light: The stiff nylon parawing with water-repellent treatment limits water absorption, keeping it maneuverable even when wet.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
A completely redesigned V2
The Hatch V2 isn't just an update to the V1. Naish redeveloped the parawing from the profile up, focusing on three goals: stability, wind range, and durability. The profile is more robust, the sweep is reduced, the battens are made of Nitinol, and the canopy is stiffer. For control, the bar is new and features a patented retractable harness line. The bridle is shorter, the line materials are mixed, and internal D-Ribs help maintain the profile with fewer lines.
A more stable profile
Less sweep and a more robust profile mean the parawing stays put in the wind window and moves less during your session. Traction becomes more consistent, control in gusts improves, and upwind performance gains efficiency. For a rider new to parawing, this parawing inspires confidence. For an experienced rider, it means better upwind performance and less attention needed for the parawing. This allows more focus on the foil, foot pressure, and transitions.
Nitinol battens and rigid canopy
Nitinol is a shape-memory alloy: it returns to its original form on its own. The Nitinol profile battens therefore maintain the shape Naish intended in flight, session after session, and make folding easier. The rigid nylon parawing balances lightness and durability. Its water-repellent treatment limits performance loss when the parawing is wet, which is important during water starts and relaunch.
Ergonomic bar and harness line
The redesigned bar improves grip and comfort, with very light bar pressure. The bridged bridle allows full length use with consistent response, reducing fatigue on long tacks. New end caps limit snagging points. The harness line is an elastic housed in the handle: when retracted, it keeps the control area clean; when extended, it offers a simple attachment point to relieve arm fatigue.
A bridle that stores quickly
Soft UHMWPE A-lines facilitate instant storage, while thinner, stiffer, polyester-sleeved lines equip the rest of the bridle to limit tangles and drag. The D-Ribs distribute loads within the parawing and help maintain the profile with fewer lines. The shorter bridle and quad cascade accelerate storage and downwind transitions with the parawing packed away.
Which size to choose.
Naish provides wind ranges for a 75 kg rider on an 80-liter board: from 23 to 45 knots for the 2.1 m² to 12 to 20 knots for the 5.1 m². A heavier rider, a smaller board, or a less buoyant foil will shift the choice to the next size up. The size guide below also provides the wingspan and packed length, useful for navigating with the parawing folded downwind.
SIZE GUIDE
| Surface | Wind range (knots, 75 kg rider, 80 L board) | Wingspan (m) | Packed length (m) | Aspect Ratio |

| 2.8 m² | 20 to 35 | 2.77 | 1.36 | 2.75 |
| 3.5 m² | 16 to 29 | 3.12 | 1.50 | 2.80 |
| 4.3 m² | 14 to 23 | 3.45 | 1.58 | 2.77 |

FAQ - NAISH HATCH V2 2026
Naish designed it for both beginner and advanced parawing riders. Its stability and predictable power inspire confidence at the start. Its upwind performance and quick packing are useful for downwind riding.
The size guide shows the wind range for each size according to Naish, for a 75 kg rider on an 80-liter board. Your weight and board will shift the choice. Your foil will also shift the choice. If you are between two sizes, talk to us in the shop or by phone.
Almost everything: a more robust profile and reduced sweep, Nitinol struts, a stiffer and water-repellent canopy, a new ergonomic bar, a retractable harness line, a shorter bridle with mixed lines, D-Ribs, and color-coded pigtails.
It's an elastic integrated into the handle. Without a harness, it stays retracted in the bar and won't snag. With a harness, you pull it out to hook in and relieve arm strain on long tacks.
You need a foil board suitable for parawing and a foil. A harness is useful to take advantage of the integrated harness line.
After your session, dry it completely in the shade. Never store it wet. Fold it without forcing the struts. Avoid leaving it flapping in the wind and sun on the beach; this wears out the canopy fastest.
