Constructed from seven plies of maple, the Resin is presented by Carver as the definitive surfskate, with a perfectly balanced shape that excels across all styles and skill levels.
The C7 truck system in detail
The C7 is Carver's innovative dual-axis system. A swing arm and the kingpin work in harmony to create two dimensions of movement: lateral offset and tilt. This is a significant upgrade from the single dimension of a classic truck. A spring, housed in the base, compresses during turns and is easily adjusted by a screw. Both axes can be independently fine-tuned. The turning arc is wider than the CX. This gives a more expansive ride feel. Carver likens it to a single-fin surfboard, where pumping comes naturally. This system is the top choice for longboard surfers and anyone prioritizing fluidity. While slightly heavier than the CX, it's paired with a Carver C2 rear truck.
Original setup
Your board arrives fully assembled and ready to shred. It comes straight from the factory with 65mm Roundhouse Slicks wheels, Carver ABEC 7 bearings integrated directly into the wheels, two 3/16-inch Carver risers (for a total of 3/8-inch), and 1.25-inch Carver countersunk mounting hardware. Roundhouse wheels are Carver's own surfskate-specific line: their profile and rubber compound are designed for maximum grip when you're loaded into a turn and smooth rolling, prioritizing feel over raw speed. There's nothing to add or put together; just unbox it and go.
CX or C7: which to choose?
The C7 system delivers authentic surf sensations on asphalt. This board is perfectly suited for carving and cruising, as well as freestyle and surf training. It comes complete and ready to use. Carver itself summarizes the choice between its two systems: the CX for a livelier rail engagement, and the C7 for that smoother, more drawn-out surf feel. This model is available with both setups.
