DETAILED DESCRIPTION
An adult wetsuit, perfectly tailored for young riders.
ION designed the Capture Junior based on its popular Element range. It features the same cuts and reinforcements. It also offers cold-water protection solutions, all adapted for the body size and build of children and teens. The 3/2 mm short sleeve design strikes the right balance for temperate waters during summer and the late season. It's ideal when a full long-sleeve wetsuit would be too warm for an active child.
Back zip and Water Gate Plus
The back zip closure is the simplest option for a child; they can easily put it on and close it themselves with the long pull tab. The Water Gate Plus system adds a neoprene barrier behind the zip, limiting water ingress during those inevitable first falls. The seams and high-wear areas are reinforced to withstand knees dragging on the board and abrasive sand.
Choosing Your Size
ION junior sizes combine height in centimeters with an indicative age. For example, 152/12 corresponds to a child approximately 152 cm tall and 12 years old. Height takes precedence over age. A wetsuit should fit snugly without compressing. If your child is between two sizes, choose the smaller one if they are slender, or the larger one if they are sturdier.
