The Duotone Mast SLS 2.0 2027 is the carbon mast with integrated plate in the range, positioned between aluminum and D/LAB. It features a profile inherited from D/LAB 2.0 masts, a monobloc mast and plate construction, and a 3BS+ insert. Available in three lengths: 76, 84, and 92 cm.
KEY INFORMATION
DUOTONE MAST SLS 2.0 2027 - Carbon foil mast with integrated plate
What we like
- D/LAB 2.0 inherited profile: Experience smoother acceleration and a finer glide.
- Refined design: Enjoy reduced wetted surface and drag without sacrificing stiffness.
- Monobloc mast and plate: Get a more direct connection between you, your board, and your foil.
- Less drag on take-off: This also applies to touchdowns, where the plate usually creates drag.
- 3BS+ insert: This ensures compatibility with current Duotone foils and future developments.
- Three lengths: Choose 76 cm for pump and prone, or 92 cm for speed.
- Positioning: This mast sits between aluminum and D/LAB masts in both efficiency and price.

Between aluminum and D/LAB
The SLS 2.0 holds a precise position in the Duotone range. It sits above aluminum masts and below D/LAB, aiming for a balance of efficiency, stiffness, control, and accessibility.
For many riders, this is the sweet spot where performance gains are clear without the budget skyrocketing for high-modulus carbon.
A profile inherited from the D/LAB 2.0
Duotone adopts the optimized profile concept from the D/LAB 2.0 masts. The new refined design reduces wetted surface and drag, which improves glide and acceleration, and overall efficiency, while maintaining exemplary stiffness. On a mast, drag is the most costly factor because it applies constantly at all speeds.
The monobloc mast and plate construction
The mast and plate are a single piece. This reduces drag during take-off and touchdowns, two moments when the plate interface disrupts flow. It also increases overall stiffness. The connection between you, your board, and your foil becomes more direct, transmitting pressure without being filtered by a working joint.
The 3BS+ insert
The mast integrates a 3BS+ insert. This ensures compatibility with current Duotone foils and guarantees the system's longevity for future developments. The fourth screw, M6 x 32 TX 30, should be tightened to 10 Nm. It is not supplied with the mast; it comes with the corresponding tail.
Three lengths, three uses
The 76 cm is suitable for pump and prone foiling, where you ride close to the surface and a short mast recovers quickly. The 84 cm is the allround length for wing foil. The 92 cm is for fast disciplines and choppy waters, where depth protects against unintentional wing breaches. It has a chord of 120 mm, widening to 135 mm near the plate, and a thickness of 18 to 20 mm.
Assembly and torque settings
The 3BS screw set is supplied: 3 M8 x 50 TX 45 screws, to be tightened to 15 Nm. The fourth 3BS+ screw is tightened to 10 Nm. These torque settings are not merely indicative for a carbon part. If too tight, you crush the material. If not tight enough, the assembly develops play, and the mast flexes with every load.

FAQ - DUOTONE MAST SLS 2.0 2027
For the rider who wants to switch from an aluminum mast to carbon without paying D/LAB prices. Three lengths cover pump and prone, allround wing, and fast disciplines.
The mast and plate are a monobloc carbon SLS construction. The profile is inherited from D/LAB 2.0 masts, with a 3BS+ insert. Three lengths are available: 76, 84, and 92 cm. The chord ranges from 120 to 135 mm, and the thickness from 18 to 20 mm. The 3BS screw set is included, with 3 M8 x 50 TX 45 screws tightened to 15 Nm.
Choose 76 cm for pump and prone foiling. The 84 cm mast is for allround wing foiling. Use the 92 cm mast for fast disciplines and choppy waters. A long mast provides more clearance before the wing breaches the surface. A short mast recovers faster. Tell us your riding style.
The attachment method differs. The SLS 2.0 has a stiffer, integrated monobloc plate. The QM uses the Quickmount system: a single screw, no tools needed. The plate stays on the board. The monobloc offers a more direct feel, while Quickmount is faster to assemble and disassemble.
No. The 3BS screw set is included, with 3 M8 x 50 screws. The fourth 3BS+ screw, an M6 x 32 TX 30, comes with the corresponding tail, not the mast.
Rinse with fresh water after each session, focusing first on the connection area and screw set. Dry completely. Tighten M8 screws to 15 Nm and M6 screws to 10 Nm. Regularly check the tightening.
